Thursday August 5, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-May all who come behind us find us faithful-
2-We are successful when our children say yes to the call of God on their lives-
3-There is no greater joy for a parent than to see their children in love with Jesus-
4-To covet is to succeed in amassing possessions-
5-You can't share what you don't have-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Many people are like tea bags; they know their strength only when in hot water-
I'VE LEARNED-If you correct yourself, others won't have to-
DID YOU KNOW-Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain, smoked 40 cigars a day for the last years of his life-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-If food was kept on the ark for consumption, what kept it from spoiling?
2-What did the people and animals drink on the ark and where did it come from?
3-How could such a small group of people take care of so many animals?
4-Did the Ark spend any stormy days and nights on the water?
5-How could all the water covering the earth evaporate?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who was turned into a pillar of salt?
Yesterday's answer-The daughter of Herodias, known to us from the writings of Josephus as Salome, though her name does not appear in the Bible-
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 2:36-38
36 There was a prophetess, Anna, from the family of Phanuel in the tribe of Asher. Anna was very old. She had once been married for seven years.
37 Then her husband died, and she was a widow for eighty four years. Anna never left the Temple but worshiped God, going without food and praying day and night.
38 Standing there at that time, she thanked God and spoke about Jesus to all who were waiting for God to free Jerusalem.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
