Saturday August 21, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY-
1-For the Christian, servant hood should be the ultimate goal they strive for-
2-God knows even before I ask-
3-Our forgiveness should be as swift as our discipline is severe-
4-Actions speak louder than words but inaction speaks even louder than words-
5-All the benefits of money are temporal, all the risks are eternal-
STRANGE THOUGHT-A dollar doesn't go far these days, but it doesn't stay around long either-
I'VE LEARNED-Truly understanding the power of gratitude will change your life forever-
DID YOU KNOW-The longest chapter in the Bible is Psalms 119-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-God appeared to Abraham in the form of a human with 2 others as angels. Are there any other times when God appeared to someone in human form beside in Jesus Christ?
2-Did Jacob and Rachel have any other children besides Joseph and Benjamin?
3-Did Jacob unknowingly cause Rachel's death by issuing the curse on her about the stolen idols from her father?
4-Why did Rachel take her father's idols when Jacob would not have wanted her to do so?
5-Did God speak in an audible voice to the old testament patriarchs?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What king of Judah was the husband of Azubah?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 5:27-32
Levi Follows Jesus
27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting in the tax collector's booth. Jesus said to him, "Follow me!"
28 So Levi got up, left everything, and followed him.

29 Then Levi gave a big dinner for Jesus at his house. Many tax collectors and other people were eating there, too.

30 But the Pharisees and the men who taught the law for the Pharisees began to complain to Jesus' followers, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?"

31 Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy people who need a doctor, but the sick.

32 I have not come to invite good people but sinners to change their hearts and lives."

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
