Friday February 18, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Trusting is following not leading-
2-When you are trying to lead Jesus, you are not trusting-
3-Christians often want food and fellowship more than prayer-
4-You haven't truly repented until you change your behavior or attitude-
5-Insincerity is a lie-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Gossip is that which no one claims to like, but everyone enjoys-
I'VE LEARNED-Making marriage work is like operating a farm. You have to start over again each morning-
DID YOU KNOW-Chevrolet tried marketing a Chevrolet Nova in Spanish speaking countries but it didn't sell well because "no va" means "doesn't go" in "Spanish-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What is the age of accountability and when is it?
2-Is "the age of accountability" a Biblical term?
3-Does scripture provide answers to all questions?
4-Was Jesus raised from the dead by God the father or did he raise himself?
5-What are we to do with unanswered questions about God, Jesus, scripture, salvation, etc?-
BIBLE TRIVIA-This court prophet confronted King David with his adultery-
Yesterday's answer-Elisha
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY HEBREWS 2:1-8
Our Salvation Is Great
1 So we must be more careful to follow what we were taught. Then we will not stray away from the truth.2 The teaching God spoke through angels was shown to be true, and anyone who did not follow it or obey it received the punishment that was earned. 3 So surely we also will be punished if we ignore this great salvation. The Lord himself first told about this salvation, and those who heard him testified it was true. 4 God also testified to the truth of the message by using wonders, great signs, many kinds of miracles, and by giving people gifts through the Holy Spirit, just as he wanted.
Christ Became like Humans
5 God did not choose angels to be the rulers of the new world that was coming, which is what we have been talking about. 6 It is written in the Scriptures,
"Why are people even important to you?
Why do you take care of human beings?
7 You made them a little lower than the angels
And crowned them with glory and honor.
8 You put all things under their control." — Psalm 8:4–6
GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!!!
