Monday February 14, 2011 thought for the day

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1 Don't win the world and lose your family-
2 If you love Him, tell them-
3 If all of our life flows from God, then everything we do becomes an expression of his presence-
4 It is okay to use money but not to love it-
5 Being tolerant is not the same as being loving-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Utopia is the good old days plus the modern conveniences-
I'VE LEARNED-The best relationship is not the one that brings together two perfect people, the best is when each person learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire the other person's good qualities-
DID YOU KNOW-There are only twelve letters in the Hawaiian alphabet. Hawaiian word do not contain consonant clusters. For example, Kahlua is not a Hawaiian word.
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is all suffering God ordained?
2-Which is the better testimony--Telling of God's blessings to you or telling how God brought you through your struggles?
3-Are there divine judgements today?
4-How can God be a loving God when he allows so much suffering to happen to little innocent children?
5-How do we know our concept of God is correct?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What evil king of Israel pouted when he couldn't get a man to sell his plot of land?
Yesterday's answer-Abner
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 1 JOHN 5:1-5
Faith in the Son of God
1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is God's child, and whoever loves the Father also loves the Father's children.2 This is how we know we love God's children: when we love God and obey his commands.3 Loving God means obeying his commands. And God's commands are not too hard for us,4 because everyone who is a child of God conquers the world. And this is the victory that conquers the world—our faith. 5 So the one who conquers the world is the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
