Monday February 7, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-God does not always give you what you ask for because he'd rather give you what you should have-
2-Prayer is not a wish book filled with slick promises of happiness and plenty-
3-God will meet you at your level of expectation-
4-Faith is the overcoming of doubt, not the absence of it-
5-What you think may be the problem may not be the problem at all-
STRANGE THOUGHT--If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people jumping up and down for joy?
I'VE LEARNED-If something goes without saying, let it-
DID YOU KNOW-Ten body parts are only three letters long: eye, ear, leg, arm, jaw, gum, toe, lip, hip, and rib-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why does God find it necessary to permit his children to suffer?
2-How does the Christian get ready for the tough times ahead of them?
3-Is the Bible, in it's entirety, the sole foundation for all Christian faith and knowledge?
4-Does the Bible ever contradict itself?
5-Should Christians try to reconcile Bible teachings to modern philosophy?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who received a visit from the Queen of Sheba, whom he impressed with his wisdom?
Yesterday's answer-Josiah
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 1 JOHN 3:1-6
We Are God's Children
1 The Father has loved us so much that we are called children of God. And we really are his children. The reason the people in the world do not know us is that they have not known him.2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and we have not yet been shown what we will be in the future. But we know that when Christ comes again, we will be like him, because we will see him as he really is.3 Christ is pure, and all who have this hope in Christ keep themselves pure like Christ.

4 The person who sins breaks God's law. Yes, sin is living against God's law.5 You know that Christ came to take away sins and that there is no sin in Christ.6 So anyone who lives in Christ does not go on sinning. Anyone who goes on sinning has never really understood Christ and has never known him.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!
