Sunday February 20, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Whatever Satan is trying to destroy you with, God can take and make a thing of beauty of it-
2-Once the self image is formed, it tends to be stable over time and highly resistant to change-
3-Much of our frustration if life comes from attempting to control what we cannot and neglect to control what we can-
4-Self image is what you have come to believe to be important and true about yourself-
5-Your self image is a refection of how you believe other people see you-
STRANGE THOUGHT-You can fix most anything but a broken promise-
I'VE LEARNED-Three things in life that are most valuable-1 Love, 2 Family, 3 Kindness-
DID YOU KNOW-Quisling is the only word in he English language to start with "quis"-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-If Jesus went to hell after his death, did others know who he was?
2-If Jesus went to hell after his death, could hell's inhabitants have been "saved"?
3-If Jesus went to hell after his death, did he have any interaction with Satan?
4-If Jesus went to hell after his death, did he suffer as others do while he was there?
5-If Jesus went to hell after his death, does that mean all people must first go there also?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What apostle fled the soldiers of king Aretas in Damascus?
Yesterday's answer-Hezekiah
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY JUDE 1:1-7

Jude 1

Warnings About False Teachers
1 From Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James.

To all who have been called by God. God the Father loves you, and you have been kept safe in Jesus Christ:

2 Mercy, peace, and love be yours richly.

God Will Punish Sinners
3 Dear friends, I wanted very much to write you about the salvation we all share. But I felt the need to write you about something else: I want to encourage you to fight hard for the faith that was given the holy people of God once and for all time.4 Some people have secretly entered your group. Long ago the prophets wrote about these people who will be judged guilty. They are against God and have changed the grace of our God into a reason for sexual sin. They also refuse to accept Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord.

5 I want to remind you of some things you already know: Remember that the Lord saved his people by bringing them out of the land of Egypt. But later he destroyed all those who did not believe. 6 And remember the angels who did not keep their place of power but left their proper home. The Lord has kept these angels in darkness, bound with everlasting chains, to be judged on the great day. 7 Also remember the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and the other towns around them. In the same way they were full of sexual sin and people who desired sexual relations that God does not allow. They suffer the punishment of eternal fire, as an example for all to see.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!!!
