Tuesday December 1, 2009 thought for the day

THE SEASON OF CHRISTMAS

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-We can never prove our worthiness to receive salvation-
2-The word husband means, care taker/provider-
3-Jesus denies his followers the right to love only those they consider good-
4-Life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved-
5-Let my heart be moved by the things that move the heart of God-

STRANGE THOUGHT-A hard boiled egg is hard to beat-

I'VE LEARNED-Forgive everyone for everything-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why would temple authorities have engaged in a theological discussion with a 12 year old?
2-Would young Jesus have gone to synagogue schools to be taught the law of Moses?
3-Should our celebrating the "Last Supper" really be called the "Passover Feast" as Jesus did?
4-Would the time of day of the Passover Feast celebration and the time of day of Jesus crucifixion have any correlation or significance?
5-Did Jesus and his cousin John the Baptist have any friendship or relationship prior to their being 30 years old?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who was the first shepherd?
Yesterdays answer-The priest Eleazar (Numbers 26:1-2)

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 106:1-12
1 Praise the Lord! Thank the Lord because his is good. His love continues forever.
2 No one can tell all the mighty things the Lord has done; no one can speak all his praise.
3 Happy are those who do right, who do what is fair at all times.
4 Lord, remember me when you are kind to your people; help me when you save them.
5 Let me see the good things you do for your chosen people. Let me be happy along with your happy nation; let me join your own people in praising you.
6 We have sinned just as our ancestors did. We have done wrong; we have done evil.
7 Our ancestors in Egypt did not learn from your miracles. They did not remember all you kindnesses, so they turned against you at the Red Sea.
8 But the Lord saved them for his own sake, to show his great power.
9 He commanded the Red Sea, and it dried up. He led them through the deep sea as if it were a desert.
10 He saved them from those who hated them. He saved them from their enemies,
11 and the water covered their foes. Not one of them escaped.
12 Then the people believed what the Lord said, and they sang praises to him.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
