Tuesday October 7, 2008 thought for the day

AH!, THESE WERE THE DAYS!!!
Here are my thoughts for today
1-The love of God is like the ocean, you can see it's beginning but not it's end-
2-Having power and control and being politically correct is not more important than having and showing integrity-
3-You can't change what you don't acknowledge-
4-Happiness relies on circumstances, contentment relies on the state of the heart and mind-
5-Maturity is the price you pay for growing up-

Strange thought-knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad-

I've learned-about 90% of the things that happen to me are good and only about 10%are bad, so to be happy I just have to focus on the 90%-

5 things I want to know
1-Did the great flood cover the entire planet or just the populated earth?
2-At the time of the great flood, were all the continents of the earth populated-if so, were these people destroyed because they also had rejected God?
3-It had not rained before the flood so didn't it seem strange to Noah to build a boat on dry land?
4-How did Noah know how to build such a massive boat?
5-Are the ages of some of the old testament men accurate in todays calendar years?-if so, how could they have lived so long?

Scripture for today-“The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV)

I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
