Thursday June 10, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Success is more than reaching a goal, it is feeling good about yourself-
2-Faith cancels fear and fear cancels faith-
3-God is good all the time, all the time God is good-
4-Nothing will be done at all if one waits until he can do it so well that no one can find fault with it-
5-At some point in your life, your family will be all you have, so treat them right-
STRANGE THOUGHT-You never realize you are getting lost, only when you are lost-
I'VE LEARNED-If you want to be happy, take things as they come and don't hold onto them as they go-
DID YOU KNOW-The word "checkmate" in chess come from the Persian phrase "Shah-Mat", which means "The king is dead"-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-If in tenderness God sought me, will he not in equal tenderness seek those who are mine?
2-Why did God make the Christian life such a struggle?
3-Why does God permit his children to often be so cruelly persecuted?
4-Why does God permit his children to suffer such tragic illnesses?
5-Why doesn't God intercede more often than he does when his children are in such desperate need?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What smooth skinned man had a hairy brother?
Yesterday's answer-Ezra
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 11:27-33
27 Jesus and his followers went again to Jerusalem. As Jesus was walking in the Temple, the leading priests, the teacher of the law, and the older leaders came to him.
28 They said to him, "What authority do you have to do these things? Who gave you this authority?"
29 Jesus answered, "I will ask you one question. If you answer me, I will tell you what authority I have to do these things.
30 Tell me: When John baptized people, was that authority from God or just from other people?"
31 They argued about Jesus' question, saying. "If we answer, "John's baptism was from God," Jesus will say, "Then why didn't you believe him?"
32 But if we say, "It was from other people,' the crowd will be against us." (These leaders were afraid of the people, because all the people believed that John was a prophet.)
33 So they answered Jesus, "We don't know." Jesus said to them, "Then I won't tell you what authority I have to do these things."
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
