Wednesday June 9, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-No one can force you to feel humiliation or shame without your consent-
2-If your behavior violates your own moral standards, humiliation is a natural consequence-
3-Don't do anything you think is wrong or fail to do anything you consider morally necessary-
4-Shame should only come from what we do, not from who we are-
5-Merely excusing behavior you feel in your heart to be wrong only increases shame-
STRANGE THOUGHT-People who spend too much time trying to play their cards right are apt to get lost in the shuffle-
I'VE LEARNED-It takes a crises to teach us we can't take the next moment for granted-
DID YOU KNOW-Values on the Monopoly game board are the same to day as they were in 1935-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Can you know you are "lost" if you have never been told?
2-Can you believe in a creator and not believe in God?
3-Is there a difference in praying with persistence and with patience?
4-How do you know if you have truly surrendered your life, your problems, your children to God?
5-How does God deal with the stubborn will?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What leader plucked out this own hair and beard when he heard the Jews had intermarried with other races?
Yesterday's answer-Samson
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 11:20-25
20 The next morning as Jesus was passing by with his followers, they saw the fig tree dry and dead, even to the roots.
21 Peter remembered he tree and said to Jesus, "Teacher, look! The fig tree your cursed is dry and dead!"
22 Jesus answered, "Have faith in God.
23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, 'Go, fall into the sea.' And if you have no doubts in your mind and believe that what you say will happen, God will do it for you.
24 So I tell you to believe that you have received the things you ask for in prayer, and God will give them to you.
25 When you are praying, if you are angry with someone, forgive him so that your Father in heaven will also forgive your sins."
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
