Tuesday May 22, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Love keeps no record of wrongs-Delight not in the wrong doing of others-
2-Love bears all things-We spread hope in the midst of bad news-
3-Love believes all things-We give others the benefit of the doubt-
4-Love hopes all things-Even when things look bad we look to the future-
5-Love never fails-The love of Jesus always endures-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Patience is the ability to count down before blasting off-

I'VE LEARNED-Faith does not enable you to see into tomorrow, but it determines how you are going to think and act in relation to tomorrow-

DID YOU KNOW-Harvard is the oldest university in the United States-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Jesus' mother Mary know that Jesus would come back to life after his crucifixion?
2-Did Jesus ever appear to his mother after his resurrection?
3-How important is patience to a marriage?
4-Is it more important to have patience or tolerance?
5-Why was circumcision the sign of God's covenant with Abraham?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What Assyrian king carried the people of Israel into exile?
Yesterday's answer-Cyrus of Persia  2 Chronicles 36:22-23

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Matthew 13:18-23
18 "So listen to the meaning of that story about the farmer. 19 What is the seed that fell by the road? That seed is like the person who hears the message about the kingdom but does not understand it. The Evil One comes and takes away what was planted in that person's heart.20 And what is the seed that fell on rocky ground? That seed is like the person who hears the teaching and quickly accepts it with joy.21 But he does not let the teaching go deep into his life, so he keeps it only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the teaching he accepted, he quickly gives up.22 And what is the seed that fell among the thorny weeds? That seed is like the person who hears the teaching but lets worries about this life and the temptation of wealth stop that teaching from growing. So the teaching does not produce fruit[a] in that person's life. 23 But what is the seed that fell on the good ground? That seed is like the person who hears the teaching and understands it. That person grows and produces fruit, sometimes a hundred times more, sometimes sixty times more, and sometimes thirty times more."

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, You created within us a desire for the human touch. We’re grateful for hugs of love, affection, and friendship; for those who embraced us following a personal disappointment, a time of loss, a long separation, or a time of celebration and rejoicing. Sometimes words fall short or are inadequate for a situation, so You gave us the ability to show that we really do care by warmly embracing one who is in need of a loving physical touch. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
