Monday August 5, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Leaders are learners and you need to continue learning all your life-
2-It is satan's mission to deceive us in who God is-
3-God doesn't need to have something to make something-
4-There was only one thing perfect about the first Christmas -the baby Jesus-
5-We are most like Jesus when we forgive-

STRANGE THOUGHT-May God continue to bless you with all of life's little annoying things-

I'VE LEARNED-The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow-do good anyway-

DID YOU KNOW-The heaviest flying bird in the world is the Koir Bustard.  The Kori weighs around 31 pounds on average, the largest one found weighed more than forty pounds-

BIBLE TRIVIA-Which epistle says that the flood water at the time of Noah symbolize baptism?
Yesterday's answer-Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Acts 13:13-15
13 Paul and those with him sailed from Paphos and came to Perga, in Pamphylia. There John Mark left them to return to Jerusalem. 14 They continued their trip from Perga and went to Antioch, a city in Pisidia. On the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down. 15 After the law of Moses and the writings of the prophets were read, the leaders of the synagogue sent a message to Paul and Barnabas: “Brothers, if you have any message that will encourage the people, please speak.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Praying man Father, there are many goals, deadlines, and expectations we meet as we tarry here below. But there’s one goal yet unmet that will carry us to the very end of our lives here, and that’s to cross over the finish line that transports us from our temporal dwelling to our place of eternal rest. Rest from all that troubles us, a place where we will no longer taste of death, sickness, evil or sorrow. But until then we rejoice in knowing that Christ our Redeemer lives. He walks with us through every trial, every heartache, and every temptation that our enemy, the devil, hurls at us. We are victors through Christ Jesus our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD
