Friday March 21, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-To whom much responsibility is given, much is accountable-
2-Even though forgiveness comes after repentance, the pain and responsibility for sin may remain a lifetime or longer-
3-What makes a person Godly is the presence and guidance of God in their life-
4-A person's relationship with God affects all their relationships-
5-A Godly person's hearing and obeying what God is saying to them could have consequences for generations to come-

STRANGE THOUGHT-English is a crazy language-Why doesn't buick rhyme with quick?

I'VE LEARNED-When a behavior or attitude isn't working for us, we need to repent (to change our thinking)-

DID YOU KNOW-Less than 1 percent of all road accidents in Canada involve a moose-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-If God had requested Ishmael to be sacrificed, would Abraham's reaction have been the same as it was with Isaac?
2-Why is Sarah the only  woman in scripture whose age is mentioned?
3-How old was Isaac when Abraham arranged a wife for him?
4-What kind of marriage ceremony did Israel and Rebekah have?
5-Did Abraham ever marry again after Sarah's death or did he have other wives also?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who asked God the question?-"Shall I pursue after this troop?
Answer for today  David  1 Samuel 30:3-8

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Proverbs 3:3-4
Don’t ever forget kindness and truth.
    Wear them like a necklace.
Write them on your heart as if on a tablet.
Then you will be respected
And will please both God and people.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, Romans 1:21 indicates that those who knew You neither glorified nor gave thanks to You which led to their futile and foolish thinking.  It eventually caused the light of Your Word to be veiled and ineffective in their lives as darkness crept in and covered the radiant light of Your truth.  They sought honor for themselves and lived for self-glory.  Anything good in us is but a reflection of the Spirit of Christ who resides within, so we will glory only in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ though mocked and ridiculed by the world.  We are unashamedly children of God whose depth of wisdom comes not from the understanding of the world but the understanding of Your Word. May its truth always be our source of light in the darkened age in which we live.  In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
