Sunday March 23, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The essence of becoming a Christian is releasing your life unconditionally to the Lordship of Jesus-
2-The essence of sin is refusing to acknowledge that Jesus has the right to be Lord-
3-All of God's giants were weak men, who did great things for God because they believed God was with them-
4-Success should not be measured in our accomplishments but in our obedience to God-
5-Christians in each generation are responsible for reaching their own generation-

STRANGE THOUGHT-In a discussion, why does a topic come up?

I'VE LEARNED-The quality of our diet has a direct impact on our health-

DID YOU KNOW-More than 10 percent of all the salt produced annually in the world is used to de ice American roads-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Isaac and Ishmael ever have anything in common except for the same father?
2-Why did Esau, son of Isaac, find a wife for himself from the daughters of Ishmael?
3-Why didn't Isaac find a wife for his son Esau from his own people as his father Abraham had done for him?
4-Would Isaac and Ishmael both have attended their father's burial?
5-Why is there nothing in scripture about Ishmael as an adult?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who asked God the question?-"What shall I do unto this people?  They are almost ready to stone me"?
Answer for today     Moses  Exodus 17:3-4

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Proverbs 3:27-31
27 Whenever you are able,
Do good to people who need help.
28 If you have what your neighbor asks for,
    don’t say, “Come back later.
I will give it to you tomorrow.”
29 Don’t make plans to hurt your neighbor
Who lives nearby and trusts you.
30 Don’t accuse a person for no good reason;
don’t accuse someone who has not harmed you.
31 Don’t be jealous of those who use violence,
And don’t choose to be like them.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manDaily prayer:Father, when we gave you our heart, we made the willful choice to no longer conform to the trends and philosophies of this world. Instead we ask You to daily renew our minds so that we see this world and its philosophies through the eyes of Christ. We are put to the test daily in deciding what is truth and what is error. May Your Holy Word be our reference point and Your Spirit be our Guide as we are exposed to countless philosophies based on human understanding and the basic principles of this world rather than Your eternal foundational truths. Sharpen our discernment and grant us courage so that we readily know truth from error and are fearless in saying so. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
