Friday March 7, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-A Christian character is a priceless possession that should be protected at all cost,  it should never be for sale-
2-All sins separate us from God, sins of doing and sins of not doing-
3-Action and words can be as destructive as action and physical violence-
4-When truth becomes a victim of preserving our own safety and comfort, or when rationals take the place of facts, we find ourselves involved in sin-
5-The only remedy for sin is repentance-

STRANGE THOUGHT-English is a strange language-"Why do we ship cars by truck and send cargo by ship?"

I'VE LEARNED-The willingness to forgive is essential to keeping relationships strong-

DID YOU KNOW-Until they were imported into the country, Australia did not have any members of the cat family, hoofed animals, apes, or monkeys-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Abraham love his son Ishmael?
2-Did Abraham love one son over the other?
3-Was the rite of circumcision a new practice for people of Isaac's day?
4-What was the meaning and intent of the rite of circumcision?
5-Is there a difference in the meaning of the name Abram and Abraham?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who asked God the question-"Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee?"
Answer for today    Job  40:3-4

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY  1 Kings3:10-14
10 The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked this. 11 So God said to him, “You did not ask for a long life, or riches for yourself, or the death of your enemies. Since you asked for wisdom to make the right decisions, 12 I will do what you asked. I will give you wisdom and understanding that is greater than anyone has had in the past or will have in the future. 13 I will also give you what you did not ask for: riches and honor. During your life no other king will be as great as you. 14 If you follow me and obey my laws and commands, as your father David did, I will also give you a long life.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful man Father,  bless couples reading our "Thought for today". Help them to grow together through love and laughter, respect and forgiveness, through the good times and through the difficult times. Help us to remain committed all the days of our life to our marital vows that include “for better or for worse”. May it not be just for the spring season of our marriage, but also for the winter season. In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
