Monday March 24, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-There are very few people in the Bible who demonstrated flawless character-
2-Revival is for God's people.  Non Christians cannot be revived but need a spiritual birth-
3-In the presence of light, darkness cannot maintain it's presence-
4-Spiritual truths often contradict what we accept as reality-
5-Jesus instructed his disciplines not only to forgive others but also to demonstrate a lifestyle of forgiveness to others-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why do we speak up?

I'VE LEARNED-Repentance is about making a complete change-

DID YOU KNOW-Fifty five percent of motorcycles accidents happen on the weekend-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Was Jacob jealous of his bother Esau and coveted his brother's birthright?
2-Did Esau despise his birthright or was he just careless about it's importance?
3-What is it about Abraham and Isaac that they both lied about their wives being their sister?
4-In what respect is Esau and Jacob like Cain and Able?
5-What caused Rebekah to favor Jacob over Esau?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who asked God the question?-"Wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites to destroy us?"
Answer for today     Joshua  7:7

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Proverbs 10:11-12
11 The words of a good person give life, like a fountain of water,
But the words of the wicked contain nothing but violence.
12 Hatred stirs up trouble,
    But love forgives all wrongs.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, we’re grateful for those throughout history who chose to be men and women of faith, whose hearts were fashioned in Your image, and who served Your purpose in their generation. We also want to serve Your purpose in our generation.  Help us to stay steadfast and strong as we run this race set before us. Thankfully, in this race, we’re not in competition to be the only prizewinner. Instead we take hold of the hands of those who run with us, those who’ve fallen and struggle to get up, and we invite others on the sidelines to join us in this great lifelong journey. As we cross the finish line we will receive the grand prize of life eternal with You. And it’s only possible because of Jesus’ shed blood on our behalf. We thank You for it. Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!
