Thursday April 9, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Often our motives, not the action itself, contain the sin-
2-Sin has a domino effect-
3-Our behavior always affects other people whether we want them to or not-
4-When we confess our sins, the way is opened for God to bring good from a bad situation-
5-Sin is deceptively attractive-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Prayer is the world's original wireless connection-

I'VE LEARNED-Gratitude turns what we have into enough-

DID YOU KNOW-A phrenologist feels and interprets skull features-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What does the Bible mean when it says "Christ died and returned to life so that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living-
2-Does scripture anywhere mention the disciples family (wives and children)?  If not, why not?
3-What does scripture mean saying "Honor God with our bodies"?
4-How close can we get to sin without sinning?
5-What is a wise person?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What was the Printers Bible?
Answer   A 1702 printing which substitutes "printers" for "princes" in Psalm 119:161; "Printers have persecuted me without a cause".

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Mark 14:22-26
22 While they were eating, Jesus took some bread and thanked God for it and broke it. Then he gave it to his followers and said, “Take it; this is my body.”
23 Then Jesus took a cup and thanked God for it and gave it to the followers, and they all drank from the cup.
24 Then Jesus said, “This is my blood which is the new agreement that God makes with his people. This blood is poured out for many. 25 I tell you the truth, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine again until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”
26 After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we thank You for this day, the day which You have made. Like the Psalmist, we look to You to “bring us word of Your unfailing love, for we have put our trust in You.” We expect good and not harm from Your unfailing love, so we struggle when the circumstances of our lives would appear otherwise. As we mature in our faith help us to weigh the experiences of our life here on earth with the eternal outcome of all the blessings You have waiting for us in heaven. Help us to recognize that there is much we endure on this side that serves as an example to others such as the jailers and other prisoners who looked on when Paul and Silas sang in prison. The fruit of the spirit can be exemplified in believers who rise each morning with the joyful proclamation, “This is the day which the lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
