HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-Temptation is satan's invitation to give in to his kind of life and give up God's kind of life-

2-You don't have to do evil to gain more experience and learn more about life-

3-When Eve gave into satan's temptation, a knowledge of both good and evil seemed like a good thing-

4-A small sin has a way of growing out of control-

5-Fear is never a good excuse for failing to trust God-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Dew is formed by the sun shining down on the leaves and grass and making them perspire-

 

I'VE LEARNED-A daughter may outgrow your lap, but she will never outgrow your heart-

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Mark 15:15-20

¹⁵ Pilate wanted to please the crowd, so he freed Barabbas for them. After having Jesus beaten with whips, he handed Jesus over to the soldiers to be crucified.

¹⁶ The soldiers took Jesus into the governor’s palace (called the Praetorium) and called all the other soldiers together. ¹⁷ They put a purple robe on Jesus and used thorny branches to make a crown for his head. ¹⁸ They began to call out to him, “Hail, King of the Jews!” ¹⁹ The soldiers beat Jesus on the head many times with a stick. They spit on him and made fun of him by bowing on their knees and worshiping him. ²⁰ After they finished, the soldiers took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him again. Then they led him out of the palace to be crucified.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY 

Father, salvation belongs to You who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb! Words are inadequate to express our joy in knowing that one glorious day we will attend the Wedding Supper of the Lamb because You sent Jesus to be the sacrifice Lamb who provided for our salvation. Though words cannot adequately express our joy, the way we conduct ourselves is an expression of thanksgiving to You. We look forward to that glorious day when we shed these mortal bodies and take on immortality, when we receive our wedding garments which will be robes of white. Until then, we prepare ourselves by praying in the Holy Spirit and keeping ourselves in Your love as we wait for the future wedding supper of the Lamb.
