Monday August 17, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Vengeance is passion out of control based on hatred-
2-Never repay evil for evil to anyone-
3-God delights in taking nobodies and making them somebodies-
4-The Bible never tells us to look humble-
5-Humility is an attitude of the heart and mind-

STRANGE THOUGHT-I didn't like my beard at first but then it grew on me-

I'VE LEARNED-Sin always has its consequences-

DID YOU KNOW-Maine is the only state whose name is just one syllable-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When did God create the land of Nod to which he banished Cain?
2-Was the Land of Nod an established civilization when Cain was sent there?
3-Did Cain and his brother Seth have any daughters in their family?
4-Genesis says that Cain built a city called Enoch.  How could he do this as he was a farmer?
5-Who were the people that Cain built a city for?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "My punishment is greater than I can bear"?
Answer for today     Cain     Genesis 4:13

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Luke 8:13
13 The seed that fell on rock is like those who hear God’s teaching and accept it gladly, but they don’t allow the teaching to go deep into their lives. They believe for a while, but when trouble comes, they give up.
(to be continued)

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying manGod of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Your mercy endures to all generations. Your truths are timeless and Your provisions are abundant to those who call upon your name. Help us to gratefully declare Your faithfulness to our generation so that generations to follow will also call on the name of the Lord and be saved just as we see in the Scriptures. Generation by generation we proclaim the salvation that comes through faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy-
