Sunday August 30, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-God doesn't speak and ask our advice regarding his plan, he simply makes declarations-
2-We need to work with God even as we are working for God-
3-No one unties knots like God does-
4-We don't need to explain the will of God only to obey it-
5-Nothing in this life or the next life is more serious and sobering than the wrath of God-

STRANGE THOUGHT-When the body is fully immersed in water, the telephone will ring-

I'VE LEARNED-Kindness is not an act, it is a lifestyle-

DID YOU KNOW-The three best known western names in China are Jesus Christ, Richard Nixon, and Elvis Presley-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Does spending time with family and friends qualify for keeping the Sabbath day holy?
2-Did Jesus change the commandment of keeping the Sabbath holy?
3-Does the 5th commandment apply even in cases where children have been victims of parental abuse?
4-Did God give the 5th commandment because the Israelites were not taking care of the elderly but disposing of them?
5-Did the KJV and other translations mistranslate the 6th commandment?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the Lord the third day"?
Answer for today       Hezekiah   2 Kings  20:8

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Luke 8:49-50
49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of the synagogue leader and said to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t bother the teacher anymore.”
50 When Jesus heard this, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just believe, and your daughter will be well.”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying manFather, for us to sit in the heavenlies with Christ is not obtained through our good works, nor can it be purchased with our wealth. We can’t get there because our grandpa was a godly man nor can we be seated in the heavenlies because we went to church every Sunday and memorized many Scriptures. It is because of the great sacrifice Christ made for us that You made us alive together with Him and raised us up with Him, seating us with Him in the heavenly places so that in the ages to come You might show us the surpassing riches of Your grace. We’re undeserving of Your favor but You’re unsurpassed in Your grace and we are the eternal beneficiaries. Thank You, thank You, thank You! Amen.

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
