Sunday November 15, 2009 thought for the day

A PRETTY SUNRISE

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Kindness is Christianity with it's work clothes on-
2-The nail pierced hands of Jesus reveal the love filled heart of God-
3-Feelings are always a result of what we are thinking-
4-Christians should put their faith into application and not into discussion-
5-Emotion cannot separate reality from fantasy-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why were so many Civil War battles fought in national parks?

I'VE LEARNED-Love reduces friction to a fraction-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why did the holy family stay in Bethlehem for at least two years after Jesus was born and not return to Nazareth?
2-Is it incorrect to show the Magi at the manger scene as we do today and if so why do we do it?
3-Why did King Herod fear the news of a "new born" king?
4-Did anyone besides the Magi see the star or notice anything unusual about it?
5-How do you follow a star?

BIBLE TRIVIA What was the first of the ten plagues of Egypt?
Yesterday's answer-Cana (John 2:1-11)

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 100
1 Shout to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Serve the Lord with joy; come before him with singing.
3 Know that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to him; we are his people, the sheep he tends.
4 Come into his city with songs of thanksgiving and into his courtyards with songs of praise. Thank him and praise his name.
5 The Lord is good. His love is forever, and his loyalty goes on and on.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
