Sunday November 29, 2009 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Don't try so hard to become what you ought to be that you forget who you are-
2-Sometimes clouds are in the sky to give us a beautiful sunset-
3-Never sacrifice the permanent on the altar of the immediate-
4-We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give-
5-Faith is being assured that what He has promised He will do-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

I'VE LEARNED-Conviction is worthless unless it is converted into conduct-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why do we know nothing about Jesus' childhood except for his temple visit with his parents?
2-Did Jesus need a religious upbringing as a child?
3-Are there authentic records in existence that would tell of Jesus' life before the age of 30?
4-Did Jesus do nothing "special" in his childhood, teens or 20's worthy of recording?
5-Would Jesus' childhood friends or neighbors have know who he really was?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Where were the disciples first called Christians?
Yesterday's answer-the raven (Genesis 8:7)

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 105:26-36
26 Then he sent his servant Moses, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27 They did many signs among the Egyptians and worked wonders in Egypt.
28 The Lord sent darkness and made the land dark, but the Egyptians turned against what he said.
29 So he changed their water into blood and made their fish die.
30 Then their country was filled with frogs, even in the bedrooms of their rulers.
31 The Lord spoke and flies came, and gnats were everywhere in the country.
32 He made hail fall like rain and sent lightning through their land.
33 He struck down their grapevines and fig trees, and he destroyed every tree in the country.
34 He spoke and grasshoppers came; the locusts were too many to count.
35 They ate all the plants in the land and everything the earth produced.
36 The Lord also killed all the firstborn sons in the land, the oldest son of each family.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
