Saturday October 15, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Give God time-
2-Can God take all things and make them work for good?
3-There is a great need for us to reestablish in our lives the holiness of God-
4-Forgiveness is the other side of being forgiven by God-
5-Forgiveness does not need the other person to acknowledge what they have done-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Bad has become good because something worse has come along-
I'VE LEARNED-Give more, including yourself-
DID YOU KNOW-On average, about 100 persons choke on ball point pens each year-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When did the Garden of Eden vanish from the face of the earth?
2-Did God obliterate the Garden of Eden or is it covered up under dirt, sand, etc?
3-Is there any good evidence as to where the physical location of the Garden of Eden was located?
4-Was it the crucifixion or the resurrection that gives us salvation from sins?
5-What convinced the first century Christians to become followers of Jesus?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What prophet's voice did the returned Jewish exiles obey?
Yesterday's answer 1 Thessalonians 4:16
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Corinthians 4:18-21
18 Some of you have become proud, thinking that I will not come to you again.19 But I will come to you very soon if the Lord wishes. Then I will know what the proud ones do, not what they say,20 because the kingdom of God is present not in talk but in power.21 Which do you want: that I come to you with punishment or with love and gentleness?
PRAYER FOR TODAY

Praying manFather, You welcome all to be a part of Your kingdom: the young and the old, the weak and the strong, those born in ideal circumstances and those conceived and born in the worst imaginable settings. All the days ordained for our lives were written in Your book before one of them came to be. May our welcoming voices and warm touch make an eternal difference to the children born in our hostile world, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. We want to follow the example of our Lord Jesus who lovingly embraced and tenderly welcomed the children to spend time with Him. Amen.
