Saturday December 17, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Christianity is a relationship between a heavenly father and his children-
2-Perfect love casts out all fear, fear casts out love-
3-Christian service is a poor substitute for a relationship with Jesus-
4-If we mistake God's silence for indifference we are most miserable-
5-God has no hands but our hands, no tongue but our tongue and no feet but our feet-
STRANGE THOUGHT-The person who can be only serious or only cheerful is but half a person-
I'VE LEARNED-You can have most anything you want but you can't have everything you want-
DID YOU KNOW-Dueling in Paraguay is legal a long as both parties are registered blood donors-
5 THING I WANT TO KNOW
1-How must have Moses's Egyptian mother have felt when he became of age and chose to be a Hebrew and rejected his royal upbringing?
2-When did Moses learn that he was a Hebrew and not an Egyptian, son of the pharaoh's daughter?
3-Did Moses as an adult ever meet his Hebrew parents?
4-Did Moses have any idea of what his future would be when he rejected his Egyptian heritage?
5-Does God's mercy have an ending?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What Jewish girl became queen of Persia?
Yesterday's answer- a centurion Luke 7:2-10
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 2 Corinthians 1:3-7
Paul Gives Thanks to God
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is the Father who is full of mercy and all comfort.4 He comforts us every time we have trouble, so when others have trouble, we can comfort them with the same comfort God gives us.5 We share in the many sufferings of Christ. In the same way, much comfort comes to us through Christ.6 If we have troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation, and if we have comfort, you also have comfort. This helps you to accept patiently the same sufferings we have.7 Our hope for you is strong, knowing that you share in our sufferings and also in the comfort we receive.
PRAYER FOR TODAY

Praying man Father, we give thanks to You who gives us victory in life’s ongoing battles through our Lord Jesus Christ. Help us to listen to the prompting of Your Holy Spirit that reveals to us the various ways that we can be used to further Your kingdom and expand the gospel message at home and abroad. As You reign in our hearts may our lives bear fruit that brings glory to Your name, as we seek to glorify You in all that we do. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!!!
