Monday August 18, 2014 thought for ther day

WHO IS THIS??

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Not wanting to do something is not always a good reason for failing to do it-
2-The price you are willing to pay to fulfill your dreams is proportional to the value you place on yourself-
3-"Tough love" is best administered with a big dose of tender loving care-
4-You have to stop running from your problems before you can overcome them-
5-The is a big difference between an excuse and an explanation-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Sometimes we have to take a long walk to go a short distance-

I'VE LEARNED-Most of the practices of the early church were matters of apostolic tradition or custom, not written instructions-

DID YOU KNOW-Presidents Jefferson and Adams died at practically the same minute of the same day-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-At the time of Abel's murder, were he and Cain the only offspring of Adam and Eve?
2-Was Cain a defiant and rebellious child and teenager?
3-Did Cain ever feel remorseful of killing his brother?
4-Why is God's justice sometimes quick and sometimes long suffering?
5-In God's anger toward Cain, why didn't he take Cain's life?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Which gospel says that an angel rolled away the stone from Jesus tomb?
Answer for today-Matthew 28:2

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Matthew 6:33
33 Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, we are grateful for those throughout history who chose to be men and women of faith, whose hearts were fashioned in Your image, for those who served Your purpose in their generation. We also want to serve Your purpose in our generation.  Help us to stay steadfast and strong as we run this race set before us.  Thankfully, in this race, we are not in competition to be the only prizewinner. Instead we take hold of the hands of those who run with us and invite those on the sidelines to join us.  We want to cross the finish line together so that we will all receive the grand prize of life eternal with You.  May we never give up! Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!
