Wednesday August 20, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-How you express your emotions is more important than the emotion itself-
2-Self esteem is the willingness to participate in life with a sense of oneself as a worthwhile person-
3-Pity drags a person to a lower level of self worth-
4-Striving for what cannot be obtained brings pain-
5-Bad means can't lead to good ends-

STRANGE THOUGHT-What can blind us but can also help us see?

I'VE LEARNED-Making a living is not the same as making a life-

DID YOU KNOW-President John Quincy Adams took his last skinny dip in the Potomac on his seventh ninth birthday-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Where did Cain end up going after God banished him from where he was living and how far away was it?
2-Was Cain banished to another civilization?
3-Why did Cain think the people in the place he was banished to would want to kill him?
4-What was the mark that God put on Cain so that no one would kill him?
5-Was God's punishment of Cain an act of forgiveness and grace?

BIBLE TRIVIA-How many angels pour our the bowls of wrath on the earth?
Answer for today    Seven  Revelation 16:1-21

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Isaiah 41:17
17 “The poor and needy people look for water,
    But they can’t find any.
Their tongues are dry with thirst.
But I, the Lord, will answer their prayers;
I, the God of Israel, will not leave them to die.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, it is through devout godly people that You repair, restore and rebuild lives as they raise up the unchanging, ever relevant ancient words of Scripture. It takes faithful watchmen who serve with great vigilance, untiring in presenting the unchanging truths of the Holy Scriptures to a world that is continuously and increasingly desecrating that which was once sacred. Father, help us to be watchmen for our families, co-workers, and friends as we carefully measure the present principles of this world by the eternal principles established in Scripture. Grant us courage to speak out when the foundations are being shaken just as the watchmen were not silent night or day. We do not stand in the gap alone but You, our Father, are with us and we stand in Your courage and strength!  Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
