Saturday August 23, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Praise of God is the entire reason for worship-
2-Worship is our response to God's presence-
3-Self love is nothing if it doesn't include the love of neighbors and of the God that created us-
4-Learning to love takes both devotion and time-
5-Christianity is rooted not in doctrinal formulations but in the person of Jesus-

STRANGE THOUGHT-You shouldn't go through life with a catchers mitt on both hands.  Sometimes you need to throw something back-

I'VE LEARNED-After your hands become coated with grease your nose will begin to itch-

DID YOU KNOW-John Tyler had fifteen children-

FIVE THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is a horrible tragedy ever an act of God?
2-Did God speak audibly to the Old Testament patriarchs, prophets, etc.?
3-Did Abraham ever repent of having a son with his wife's servant girl Hagar?
4-What did it take for Abraham to leave his native home for a land God would reveal after he had left-
5-Because of their ages, did God have to divinely help Abraham and Sarah to conceive?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who had a vision of the Ancient of days seated upon a throne?
Answer for today   Daniel 7:9

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY       Psalm 107:43
43 Whoever is wise will remember these things
And will think about the love of the Lord.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful man Father, the call to snatch the sinner from hell is similar to a fireman snatching one who would otherwise be engulfed in flames. We are in the soul saving business and our mission is urgent since time is running out. Just as a loving brother or sister reached out to us with the message of salvation we too want to do the same for others who are bound for hell. With the helmet of salvation as our covering and the sword of the Spirit as our guide we want to direct others to Christ to be saved from their sins. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
