Tuesday December 9, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-What your priorities are is what you focus on-
2-You can tell a lot about a person's character by what comes out of their mouth-
3-Christians are to be "night lights"-
4-The promises of God are in the words of Christ.  The words of Christ will change your life
5-Jesus is the only way to God-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Conclusion is the place you reach when you are tired of thinking-

I'VE LEARNED-There is no amount of money that can protect us from everything-

DID YOU KNOW-Every day, more money is printed for Monopoly than the US Treasury-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Jesus have the power to control his own death?
2-How many places did Jesus appear in his resurrected body?
3-The disciples saw Jesus raise the dead so why didn't they believe that he could do the same with himself?
4-Which disciple was named Cleopas and what is known about him?
5-Did Jesus appear to Peter alone on Sunday?

BIBLE TRIVIA-When Jesus healed the blind man of Bethsaida, what did the man say people looked like?
Answer for today    Like trees walking    Mark 8:22-26

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Mark 3:13-19
13 Then Jesus went up on a mountain and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. 14 Jesus chose twelve and called them apostles.[a] He wanted them to be with him, and he wanted to send them out to preach 15 and to have the authority to force demons out of people. 16 These are the twelve men he chose: Simon (Jesus named him Peter), 17 James and John, the sons of Zebedee (Jesus named them Boanerges, which means “Sons of Thunder”), 18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot, 19 and Judas Iscariot, who later turned against Jesus.

Footnotes:

  1. 3:14 and called them apostles Some Greek copies do not have this phrase.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Heavenly Father, with great anticipation, I look forward to the crowning day when I will be among Your faithful followers!  I am so eager to join brothers and sisters of every nation where we will at last speak one language, the language of heaven. With one voice we  will exalt the Lamb of God who sits upon the throne proclaiming, Amen!  Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
