Friday January 2, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-If you want to know who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize-
2-Talk over your troubles, mistakes and dreams with someone you trust-
3-Don't under estimate the ability of God to fix a situation even when you can't .  Be patient and trust him-
4-Discriminate among your fears.  Learn to tell which ones are useful and which ones are destructive-
5-Basis for happiness-something to do, someone to love and something to look forward to-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Protons have mass. I didn't even know they were catholic-

I'VE LEARNED-If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies-succeed anyway-

DID YOU KNOW-There are 225 spaces on a scrabble board-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Does Jesus talk to God or does God and Jesus know each others thoughts?
2-In heaven, are God the father, Jesus the son and the Holy Spirit separate entities?
3-Since the Holy Spirit was sent to the earth, is he present or absent from this trinity?
4-Is the Holy Spirit the Spirit of God or the Spirit of Jesus?
5-Who was the first person raised from the dead, and who was the last as recorded in scripture?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What was the affliction of the man Jesus healed on the Sabbath at the home of a Pharisee?
Answer for today   dropsy    Luke 14:1-4

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Mark 6:30-34
30 The apostles gathered around Jesus and told him about all the things they had done and taught. 31 Crowds of people were coming and going so that Jesus and his followers did not even have time to eat. He said to them, “Come away by yourselves, and we will go to a lonely place to get some rest.”
32 So they went in a boat by themselves to a lonely place. 33 But many people saw them leave and recognized them. So from all the towns they ran to the place where Jesus was going, and they got there before him. 34 When he arrived, he saw a great crowd waiting. He felt sorry for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began to teach them many things.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we’re so thankful for Jesus whose infant birth took place in a smelly stable and whose bed was a feeding trough padded with stubbly straw and hay. It was certainly not a welcome setting for the infant born King but we can now see the stable as a composite of this unwelcoming world toward King Jesus. We’re so glad that He was willing to come to earth though He would be rejected by the majority. Yet we gratefully number among the many who receive Him as our personal Savior. We thank You that He came to deliver us from our fears and to release us from our sins. Through Your own eternal Spirit rule in our hearts today and raise us to Your glorious throne on Your appointed day.  In the name of Jesus we pray.  Amen.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
