Monday Januaary 12, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Make yourself necessary to someone-
2-Just because something feels good does not mean you should do it-
3-Sin is attractive but the results of sin is ugly-
4-Someone who tells the truth never has to swear that they are telling the truth-
5-If we are always telling the truth, there will be no reason for people to doubt what we say-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Is it just me or do buffalo wings taste like chicken?

I'VE LEARNED-Every new relationship that has any value will eventually become an old relationship-

DID YOU KNOW-The only person to decline a Pulitzer Prize for Fiction was Sinclair Lewis for his book Arrowsmith-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When a child of a devout Christian home rejects their parents values, did the parents fail in living Jesus before them?
2-What would happen if we asked God to enable us to speak about him to others with boldness?
3-Do most of us Christians keep the "good news" to ourselves?
4-Was Leah still alive when Rachel died on the way to Canaan while giving birth to Benjamin?
5-Is it any wonder that Jacob was tricked by his future father in law because of how he had tricked his own father in giving him the blessing instead of his brother Esau?

BIBLE TRIVIA-How did Jesus heal the two blind men who asked for his help?
Answer for today      he touched their eyes    Matthew 20:30-34

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
30 Two blind men sitting by the road heard that Jesus was going by, so they shouted, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
31 The people warned the blind men to be quiet, but they shouted even more, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
32 Jesus stopped and said to the blind men, “What do you want me to do for you?”
33 They answered, “Lord, we want to see.”
34 Jesus felt sorry for the blind men and touched their eyes, and at once they could see. Then they followed Jesus.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father in heaven, we ask You to help us apply Your teachings to our lives so that our foundation will be unshakable and storm-proof when the howling winds and surging rains beat against us. The foundation of this world is temporal and growing more and more decadent, so we choose instead to build our lives on the eternal foundation of Your everlasting Holy Word, as You teach us all throughout Scripture. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy-
