Wednesday February 11, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-A negative mind will never give you a positive life-
2-The height of your relationship with God depends on the depth of your desire-
3-There is no such thing as chance, luck, accident in the Christian journey-
4-Don't ask God questions, just trust God-
5-God enlightens you, satan confuses you-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Too often we try to find healing by looking in our rear view mirrors.  When we do that we are more likely to crash than to heal-

I'VE LEARNED-Holding on to hurt is like grabbing a rattlesnake by the tail, you are going to be bitten-

DID YOU KNOW-Nyctohylophobia is the fear of dark wooded areas or forest at night-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What has happened to the Ark of the Covenant since it appears to have disappeared and it was so important to the Jews?
2-Do Cherubims have four faces as envisioned by Ezekiel in a vision?
3-What military articles do Cherubims carry?
4-Were Cherubim angels weird looking creatures?
5-What purpose did Cherubim angels serve?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who calmed the sea by speaking to it?
Jesus    Mark 4:39

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
39 Jesus stood up and commanded the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind stopped, and it became completely calm.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Thankful manFather, there is much that we don’t understand on this side; why some go through life seemingly with ease and little trouble and others seem to be born with trouble that never goes away. It is not for us to understand Your ways for You are a God of mystery with greater purpose than we can comprehend, and yet You have made clear to us through Scripture that which we are to understand. Some of the very trouble we seek to avoid is what brings us to faith and causes us to live a life that is honoring to You and purposeful to others. Keep our hearts sensitive and compassionate toward those who are undervalued by the world’s standards. When we put ourselves in their place, we identify with their struggles and feel the deep hurt they experience when looked down upon and rejected by others. May we be Your tender arm of compassion, Your gentle voice of acceptance and unconditional love. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
