Friday March 13, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Courage is being afraid but going on anyway-
2-He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things he has not but rejoices for those which he has-
3-To bring up a child in the way he should go, travel that way yourself-
4-Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own-
5-Fathers, don't wait to make your son a great man, make him a great boy-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Is there another word for synonym?
I'VE LEARNED-Always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific-
DID YOU KNOW-The term mayday used for signaling for help (SOS) comes from the French M'aidez, which is pronounced mayday and means "help me"-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When does eternal life start-birth, being born again or death?
2-Does God bless programs as well as people?
3-How can Christians proclaim a message of urgency while living a lifestyle of complacency?
4-Why did Jesus only stay on earth for 33 years of which only 3 were spent in ministry?
5-Does God alone have the power to render satan powerless?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What English translation of the Bible, published in 1966 had notes based on a French translation done in Jerusalem?
Answer for today    The Jerusalem Bible
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Mark 10:29-31
29 Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, all those who have left houses, brothers, sisters, mother, father, children, or farms for me and for the Good News 30 will get more than they left. Here in this world they will have a hundred times more homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields. And with those things, they will also suffer for their belief. But in this age they will have life forever. 31 Many who are first now will be last in the future. And many who are last now will be first in the future.”
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we ask for clean hands, a pure mind, and a steadfast heart that follows hard after You. Temptation regularly knocks at our door, but with Your Holy Spirit residing within, we have the will and desire to turn it away.  We don’t want even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, or anything considered improper for Your holy people. It is through Christ that we can live such a life above reproach and honoring to You. Amen.
SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
