Saturday March 14, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude-
2-Forgiveness does not change the past but it does enlarge the future-
3-Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a gift and not giving it-
4-You are likely to forgive many things in life but don't forget to express gratitude to those you love-
5-Scripture is a guide for conduct as well as a source of doctrine-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Atheism is a non prophet organization-

I'VE LEARNED-Freedom isn't free, somebody paid for it-

DID YOU KNOW-"Three dog night" (attributed to Australian Aborigines) came about because on especially cold nights, these nomadic people needed three dogs around them to keep from freezing-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is the Holy Spirit to be considered a person?
2-If God's spirit is in us, why do we have power failures?
3-Can a person be "saved" and not be filled with the Holy Spirit?
4-What is an archangel?
5-When Jesus returns with a shout, all the "dead in Christ" will be gathered together.  What happens to the unsaved?  Are they also called and gathered up together?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What English translator died as a martyr before he could complete his translation of the Old Testament?
Answer for today        William Tyndale

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Mark 10:32-34
32 As Jesus and the people with him were on the road to Jerusalem, he was leading the way. His followers were amazed, but others in the crowd who followed were afraid. Again Jesus took the twelve apostles aside and began to tell them what was about to happen in Jerusalem. 33 He said, “Look, we are going to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be turned over to the leading priests and the teachers of the law. They will say that he must die, and they will turn him over to the non-Jewish people, 34 who will laugh at him and spit on him. They will beat him with whips and crucify him. But on the third day, he will rise to life again.”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, You’ve created us as individual human beings and by Your design You placed us in families.  Within one family unit there are many different personalities, giftings, and varying interests. Thank you for the important things we learn about sharing, assuming responsibility, working, loving, and forgiving.  Help us to do our part in keeping our family of primary importance and taking the time to appreciate those dear ones who make up our family.  It is a blessing that only You can give and it is a privilege that we must never take for granted. Make each of us a blessing as we give unreservedly of our love to one another. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
