Saturday March 28, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Don't make you the focus of your life-
2-Learn from past mistakes but move forward-
3-Don't live your life according to the expectations of others-
4-Don't measure yourself by other people-
5-Realize that you are God's unique creation and that he loves you just as you are-

STRANGE THOUGHT-If you spin an oriental man in a circle three times, is he then disoriented?

I'VE LEARNED-There is something wrong if you are always right-

DID YOU KNOW-The word kangaroo means "I don't know" in the language of Australian Aborigines.  When Captain Cook approached natives of the Endeavor River tribe to ask what the strange animal he spotted was, he got "kangaroo" for an answer-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is an intimate friendship possible between an omnipotent, invisible Holy God and a finite, sinful human being?
2-What can you thank God for today that you already have?
3-What am I grateful for today?
4-Did Joseph's brothers ever ask Joseph for forgiveness?
5-Did Joseph's brothers ever tell their father what they had done to Joseph years before?

BIBLE TRIVIA-In 1986, a modern English translation became the first to outsell the King James Version.  What was it?
Answer for today       The New International Version

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Mark 12:41-44
41 Jesus sat near the Temple money box and watched the people put in their money. Many rich people gave large sums of money. 42 Then a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which were only worth a few cents.
43 Calling his followers to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow gave more than all those rich people. 44 They gave only what they did not need. This woman is very poor, but she gave all she had; she gave all she had to live on.”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, from the time we awaken to the time we lie down we declare that You are worthy to be praised! Your name is exalted far above the earth, Your worth much greater than any jewels. Help us not to be people who use the same tongue for cursing and praises. Instead we engage our mind, surrender our hearts and employ our tongue to praise You, our Lord and Father. Be glorified in our lives so that we bring praise and glory to You this day and each day.  Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
