HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-While we must live with the natural consequences of our sin, God's
forgiveness of sin is total-
2-Sometimes forgiving a personal hurt shows more strength than lashing out
in revenge-
3-Wisdom is both the ability to discuss what is best and also the strength
of character to act on that knowledge-
4-We are to love others without inquiring whether or not they are
worthy-
5-Focus on the attributes you have rather than on those you lack-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?
I'VE LEARNED-Old age is when it takes longer to rest than to get
tired-
DID YOU KNOW-The word calendar comes from Latin and means "to call
out"-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What does it mean to "carry each others burdens?"
2-What does the Bible mean saying "carry each others burdens and in this
way you will fulfill the law of Christ"?
3-Do many Christians live totally by faith?
4-How do we "receive God's grace in vain"?
5-We say that God is in control of this world yet the Bible says the ruler
of this world is satan. Which is right?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What was the first Bible to use italics for explanatory and
connective words and phrases?
Answer for today The Geneva Bible (1560)
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Mark 12:35-37
35 As Jesus was teaching in the Temple, he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Christ is the son of
David? 36 David himself, speaking by the Holy
Spirit, said:
‘The Lord said to my
Lord,
“Sit by me at my right side,
Until I put your enemies under your control.”’ Psalm 110:1
“Sit by me at my right side,
Until I put your enemies under your control.”’ Psalm 110:1
37 David
himself calls the Christ ‘Lord,’ so how can the Christ be his son?” The
large crowd listened to Jesus with pleasure.
