Sunday September 28, 2008 thought for the day

Indianapolis 500 for AARP members-
Here are my thoughts for today
1-God created us to need relationships-
2-Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly-
3-A gentle answer turns away wrath but a harsh word stirs up anger-
4-The bend in the road is not the end of the road unless you refuse to take the turn-
5-Sometimes success is due less to ability than to zeal-

Strange thought-you can fail yourself to success if you keep trying-

I've learned-the man who says he can do as much at 60 as he did at 30 wasn't doing very much at 30-

5 things I want to know
1-Can we give our way out of debt?
2-How can each religious group claim to have an accurate understanding of truth?-can everybody be right?
3-Is it possible that Jesus baptized infants and children?
4-Should Christians be the prime example of doing random acts of kindness?
5-If Jesus is our example why do we spend so much time and energy to acquire possessions when he had none?

Scripture for today-"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith"-Hebrews12:2

I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
