Monday July 6, 2009 thought for the day

FREEDOM
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-God helps the helpless, not those who help themselves-
2-If you truly want God to get the glory, you must let him do the work-
3-When you complain and grumble as a Christian, it usually occurs because you're looking back to easier days-
4-No Christian just happens to move into a wilderness experience-
5-If you focus on the past, it isn't long until you have complaints about the present-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Do cemetery workers prefer the graveyard shift?
I'VE LEARNED-Envy is a state of ingratitude-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is the culture for Christians changing here in America?
2-Why does it seem to be okay to criticize Christianity but not other religions?
3-In America, how will Christians live when Christianity is out of favor and not politically correct?
4-Why does it appear that Christianity spreads best under severe persecution?
5-What is the Christian's greatest test in our culture?
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALMS 35:11-18
11 Men without mercy stand up to testify. They ask me things I do not know.
12 They repay me with evil for the good I have done, and they make me very sad.
13 Yet when they were sick, I put on clothes of sadness and showed my sorrow by going without food. But my prayers were not answered.
14 I acted as if they were my friends or brothers. I bowed in sadness as if I were crying for my mother.
15 But when I was in trouble, they gathered and laughed; they gathered to attack before I knew it. They insulted me without stopping.
16 They made fun of me and were cruel to me and ground their teeth at me in anger.
17 Lord, how long will you watch this happen? Save my life from their attacks; save me from these people who are like lions.
18 I will praise you in the great meeting. I will praise you among crowds of people.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
