Friday July 10, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Discipline is learned in the school of adversity-
2-When God reaches the end of his patience, he will crush evil and abolish it from the earth forever-
3-"Trees" in scripture often represent spiritual life-
4-God's promises are public and their fulfillment is sure-
5-The Messiah's strength is shown by humility, suffering and mercy-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Good health is the slowest possible rate at which you can die-

I'VE LEARNED-Never take likely the impact you may have on your children-

DID YOU KNOW-The only fifteen letter word that can be spelled without repeating a letter is uncopyrightable-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is greed ever satisfied?
2-Does God always provide an alternative?
3-Can every obstacle in your life be overcome with faith?
4-Is it ever too late to become what you might have been?
5-Has hell always existed, as God has always existed, or was it at some time created by God?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "Thou, O king, art a king of kings; for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory."
Answer         Daniel   2:37

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Luke 6:24-26
24 “But how terrible it will be for you who are rich,
Because you have had your easy life.
25 How terrible it will be for you who are full now,
    Because you will be hungry.
How terrible it will be for you who are laughing now,
Because you will be sad and cry.
26 “How terrible when everyone says only good things about you, because their ancestors said the same things about the false prophets.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Praying manFather, it’s easy to imagine nature praising You as the song birds trill their many canticles, as the wind blows upon the airy leaves and the branches of the trees clap in praise to You. Observing the clear, gushing water as it surges over the boulders, rocks and stones is so invigorating, but as much as we enjoy experiencing nature as You created it, You even more so enjoy hearing the praises of Your created beings above any other natural creation, since we are created in Your own image. It’s hard to imagine a rock praising You since it’s an inanimate object lacking personality, warmth, and soul. Yet there are times when my heart can grow stone cold when I become headstrong with my own agenda and block the work and leading of the Holy Spirit in my life. I choose to be a joyful, enthusiastic and consistent worshiper who gives You praise not only with my lips but with my life. I can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives me strength. Amen.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
