Tuesday July 21, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.  If you want to be happy, practice compassion-
2-Believe the best of everybody, it saves so much trouble-
3-Never miss an opportunity to make others happy, even if you have to leave them alone to do it-
4-Someone who does things that count doesn't usually stop to count them-
5-Don't wait for people to be friendly, show them how-

STRANGE THOUGHT-They told me I had type A blood, but it was a typo

I'VE LEARNED-Rebelling against God's leaders is rebelling against God and will always be unsuccessful-

DID YOU KNOW-Facetious, abstemious and arsenious contain all the vowels in the correct order-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-In the 50 year Judean exile into Babylon the "Ark of the Covenant" disappears without a trace or mention. Why did it just drop off the scene?
2-In the book of Genesis, chapter 1 and 2, is there one creation or two?
3-Why is the creation story in Genesis chapter 1 and 2 similar yet different?
4-Did God create the universe about 6000 years ago or was it really millions of years ago?
5-Does the book of Genesis mention "forbidden fruit"

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "What shall I do unto this people?  They be almost ready to stone me"?
Answer     Moses     Exodus 17:4

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Luke 7:24-27
24 When John’s followers left, Jesus began talking to the people about John: “What did you go out into the desert to see? A reed[a] blown by the wind? 25 What did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, people who have fine clothes and much wealth live in kings’ palaces. 26 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, and I tell you, John is more than a prophet. 27 This was written about him:
‘I will send my messenger ahead of you,
Who will prepare the way for you.’   Malachi 3:1
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Heavenly Father, we want to be a shining light to the nations, bring a word of hope to the peoples of this earth so that the whole world will know there’s salvation in Your name, there’s awe in Your supernatural deeds and there is eternity to be gained in exchange for a temporal world. We don’t want to take for granted Your awesome deeds recorded in Scriptures or things done for us in the past. Would you do it again, Lord!  Reveal Your power anew and make it known in our time, we pray. Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
