Friday July 24, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Every person has a purpose for living-
2-There is no better teaching tool in the life of a child than the model of a parent's life surrendered to God-
3-When a man of God dies, nothing of God dies-
4-God's presence is not as intriguing as his absence-
5-Never doubt the presence of God-

STRANGE THOUGHT-I know a guy who is addicted to brake fluid.  He says he can stop anytime.

I'VE LEARNED-God's work done in God's way will bring his success-

DID YOU KNOW-"I am" is the shortest complete sentence in the English language-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is the story of Adam and Eve an attempt to account for the problems of evil and human suffering?
2-Why is the birthing process more difficult for humans than any other know animal species?
3-Who is "Lilith" mentioned in Isaiah?
4-Was Eve the only wife of Adam?
5-What was the "mark of Cain" which God put on him?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "Turn again, my daughters.  Why will you go with me?  Are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands"?
Answer     Naomi    Ruth1:11

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Luke 7:36-39
36 One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to eat with him, so Jesus went into the Pharisee’s house and sat at the table. 37 A sinful woman in the town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house. So she brought an alabaster jar of perfume 38 and stood behind Jesus at his feet, crying. She began to wash his feet with her tears, and she dried them with her hair, kissing them many times and rubbing them with the perfume. 39 When the Pharisee who asked Jesus to come to his house saw this, he thought to himself, “If Jesus were a prophet, he would know that the woman touching him is a sinner!”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying manFather, the Psalmist writes that those who look to You are radiant. Perhaps only You see such radiance, yet any brightness that flows from us is possible because we reflect the light of Your indwelling life much like the moon that reflects the light of the sun. Thank You for choosing to dwell among the human race through the person of Jesus, and thank You for choosing to dwell within the hearts of all who are yielded to Your Spirit. Through Christ we pray. Amen.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
