Thursday July 9, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Too many people don't really want to be saved from their sins, they want to be saved from the consequences and penalty of their sins-
2-Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors-
3-You can't change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust your skills to reach your destination-
4-Reflect on your blessings, of which everyone has plenty, not on your past misfortunes of which all have some-
5-The only disability in life is a bad attitude-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Sometimes the best punishment is to give someone exactly what they want-

I'VE LEARNED-Those who are kind to others will receive kindness themselves-

DID YOU KNOW-The oldest word in the English language is town-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Does John the revelator speak of one anti christ or many deceivers?
2-What dies the Bible mean saying satan transform himself into "an angel of light"?
3-How are Christians to "carry each others burdens"?
4-Aside from Jesus, is peace in our world just an illusion?
5-What does "complete surrender to God" mean?

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Luke 6:20-23
20 Jesus looked at his followers and said,“You people who are poor are blessed,
Because the kingdom of God belongs to you.
21 You people who are now hungry are blessed,
    Because you will be satisfied.
You people who are now crying are blessed,
Because you will laugh with joy.
22 “People will hate you, shut you out, insult you, and say you are evil because you follow the Son of Man. But when they do, you will be blessed. 23 Be full of joy at that time, because you have a great reward in heaven. Their ancestors did the same things to the prophets.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying manFather, we will be eternally grateful that You sent Jesus to earth to seek and to save those lost in their transgressions and sins. You received people like Nicodemus, a man of authority, who secretly came to Jesus in the night where he sought answers to life’s most important questions. You sought out people, like the Samaritan woman, despised by the Jews and an outcast among her own as she lived a promiscuous life. Their stories represent various ethnic, economic, and lifestyle choices but the one common thing they shared is true of all humankind. They both had a sin problem that could be cured only by Jesus, the One who wants to heal our soul’s diseases. Thank You for Jesus, the sinless Lamb of God, who came down from heaven, into the world, bearing witness unto the truth that we are indeed sinners in need of forgiveness. Thank You for not only bearing witness but also for providing the answer. Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
