Wednesday March 1, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The word "hypocrite" describes people who do good acts for appearance only, not out of compassion or other good motives-
2-Your actions may be honorable but your motives can be hollow-
3-We should do our good deeds quietly or in secret with no thought of reward-
4-Before you pray, mean what you say-
5-Our acts of kindness or generosity should not be self centered but God centered, done not to make us look good to make God look great-

STRANGE THOUGHT
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, but when I get home  I find they are just regular donuts-

I'VE LEARNED
There is a real danger of excessive pride from excessive compliments that are meant to encourage you-

DID YOU KNOW
The United States Golf Association was founded in 1894 as the governing body of golf in the United States-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is an open door always good to walk through?
2-Since Jesus was divine, did he need parenting by his mother and father?
3-How can you "pray without ceasing"?
4-Do great periods of prayer always precede great revivals?
5-How do you know when you have prayed enough?

BIBLE TRIVIA
What Old Testament book contains the prophecy of this event-"Jesus, Mary, and Joseph leaving Egypt and returning to Galilee?"
Answer for today      Hosea

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
1 John 1:3-4   "We announce to you what we have seen and heard, because we want you also to have fellowship with us. Our fellowship is with God the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to you so we may be full of joy."

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, thank you for the joy and change you have brought to my life and continue to bring through my relationship with you-

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!
