Tuesday July 23, 2913 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The purpose of tithing is to teach us to always put God first in our lives.  God doesn't need our money.  He wants what it represents; our gratitude, our priorities and our faith-
2-Turn your mess into a message-
3-Opportunity is missed by many people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work-
4-The only sure thing about luck is that it will change-
5-Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Eventually you reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it-
I'VE LEARNED-Whatever you feel like eating, just eat.  It is most important to be happy-
DID YOU KNOW-The red breasted merganser can fly at 80 miles per hour-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-
1-Did Mary and Joseph ever have an official wedding?
2-Did Mary's or Joseph's family ever come to visit?
3-Being born a Jewish boy, would Jesus have had the Jewish rite of circumcision?
4-Did the holy family have any visitors while living in Egypt?
5-Was Mary and Joseph's marriage an arranged one?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who baptized Paul?
Yesterday's answer-About 3000   Acts 2:41
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Acts 11:22-24
22 The church in Jerusalem heard about all of this, so they sent Barnabas to Antioch. 23-24 Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and full of faith. When he reached Antioch and saw how God had blessed the people, he was glad. He encouraged all the believers in Antioch always to obey the Lord with all their hearts, and many people became followers of the Lord.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, the people of faith listed in Hebrews died without receiving all that You had promised, but they never lost their faith vision of heaven as a “better country – a heavenly one.” We take courage from these fearless heroes of our faith who remained faithful to You in this life so that they could inherit a future life with You for all eternity. We who follow You many generations later trust Jesus’ promise that He returned to heaven to prepare a place for all who remain faithful. We anticipate with great joy the hour that we are joined with You to receive our commendation in the clouds of glory for all eternity. In Jesus mighty Name, Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
