Monday July 29, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-When we become God's children, we should act like it-
2-Without a resurrection there is no Christianity-
3-In a physical universe, it is impossible for something to come from nothing.  So, there is more than a physical dimension at work in creating and sustaining the universe-
4-Faith is more basic to righteousness than obeying laws-
5-Faith comes first then comes obedience-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Copies-what you call twin policemen-

I'VE LEARNED-You cannot recover the occasion after it is missed-

DID YOU KNOW-The American woodcock, with its eyes placed toward the top of its head, can see backward and upward, and forward and upward, with binocular vision and, laterally, almost 180 degrees with each eye-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did the donkey on which Jesus rode into town ever get taken back to it's rightful owner?
2-Even though Jesus preformed many miracles, why did the people think he was Elijah or John the Baptist?
3-What mountain did Jesus go up on with Peter, James and John?
4-Why did Jesus change Simon's name to Peter?
5-Didn't Peter act more like sand than a rock?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Where did Paul baptize twelve men who had received he baptism of John?
Yesterday's answer-Corinth   Acts 18:8

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     Acts 12:11-15
11 Then Peter realized what had happened. He thought, “Now I know that the Lord really sent his angel to me. He rescued me from Herod and from all the things the people thought would happen.”
12 When he considered this, he went to the home of Mary, the mother of John Mark. Many people were gathered there, praying. 13 Peter knocked on the outside door, and a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer it. 14 When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so happy she forgot to open the door. Instead, she ran inside and told the group, “Peter is at the door!”
15 They said to her, “You are crazy!” But she kept on saying it was true, so they said, “It must be Peter’s angel.”

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD
