Wednesday July 10, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-A vacation is having nothing to do and all day to do it-
2-You cannot become what you need to be by remaining what you are-
3-Your body cannot heal without play.  Your mind cannot heal without laughter.  Your spirit cannot heal without joy-
4-Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today, because if you enjoy it today, you can do it again tomorrow-
5-Today is the youngest you will ever be-live like it-

STRANGE THOUGHT-If a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind, what does a clean desk mean?

I'VE LEARNED-Ideas don't work unless you do-

DID YOU KNOW-Koalas are marsupials, not bears.. They also have no tail or eyelids-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-
1-Was desecrating the Sabbath an unforgivable sin to the pharisees?
2-How do you best describe "the kingdom of God"?
3-What size is a mustard seed faith?
4-What is the "mishnah"?
5-Is the mustard seed the smallest possible seed?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What high priest ordered his men to slap Paul, which caused Paul to call him a "whitewashed wall"?
Yesterday's answer-Sceva   Acts 19:14

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Acts 10:1-4
At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, an officer in the Italian group of the Roman army. Cornelius was a religious man. He and all the other people who lived in his house worshiped the true God. He gave much of his money to the poor and prayed to God often. One afternoon about three o’clock, Cornelius clearly saw a vision. An angel of God came to him and said, “Cornelius!”
Cornelius stared at the angel. He became afraid and said, “What do you want, Lord?”
The angel said, “God has heard your prayers. He has seen that you give to the poor, and he remembers you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, it is only through the sacrificial blood of Your Son that my sins are forgiven.  My guilty stains are plunged into the bottom of the ocean to be remembered no more.  All the adjectives in one’s vocabulary cannot adequately describe the depth of my gratitude for such a selfless act of love.  Your redeeming blood sacrifice frees us from the penalty of sin in this life and for all eternity.  Thank You, Jesus, for freely shedding Your blood on my behalf.  Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
