Saturday October 5, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-It is easy finding reasons why other people should be patient-
2-Prayer is not a telephone call to room service-
3-Grace is to justify the sinner, not to justify our sins-
4-Grace is not a cosmic "get out of hell free card"-
5-The most important gift you can give someone is your attention-

STRANGE THOUGHT-If all the world is a stage, where is the audience sitting?

I'VE LEARNED-It is highest form of self respect to admit mistakes and to make amends for them-

DID YOU KNOW-Minnows have teeth in their throats-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Can we ever go where God is not?
2-What is our worst fear?
3-When does fear become an obsession?
4-When Jesus was on the cross, did he control his own death?
5-When Jesus was on the cross did he know where he would be until the resurrection?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who asked Jesus why he intended to show himself to the disciples but not to the world?
Today's answer-Jude   John 14:22

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     Acts 20-25-31
25 “And now, I know that none of you among whom I was preaching the kingdom of God will ever see me again. 26 So today I tell you that if any of you should be lost, I am not responsible, 27 because I have told you everything God wants you to know. 28 Be careful for yourselves and for all the people the Holy Spirit has given to you to oversee. You must be like shepherds to the church of God,[a] which he bought with the death of his own son. 29 I know that after I leave, some people will come like wild wolves and try to destroy the flock. 30 Also, some from your own group will rise up and twist the truth and will lead away followers after them. 31 So be careful! Always remember that for three years, day and night, I never stopped warning each of you, and I often cried over you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Praying man Father, like the Morning Glories we too want to be an example of one who is resourceful, perseveres, is proliferous in reaching others for the cause of Christ, and one who loves others just as Christ loves us. In our love for others, we consider the thousands who are suffering in the midst of the devastating floods and heavy rains and earnestly pray that they will find refuge, restoration, and a hope that can only be found in You as their Saviour. May we live in such a way that Your glory is manifested in our lives not just in the morning but all day long. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND.
