Wednesday October 9, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The evidence of God's presence far outweighs anything else-
2-Faith is more than something you just feel so don't confuse emotions and feelings with faith-
3-Faith is how we live, not how we feel-
4-Only time is capable of understanding how great love is-
5-Delayed and/or partial obedience is disobedience-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Many people don't know what they are doing and are good at it-

I'VE LEARNED-Much of my spiritual progress does not come directly from God but through my ability to humble myself and hear him speak through imperfect people-

DID YOU KNOW-The Mola mola is an ocean sunfish-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-
1-What keeps you out of heaven?
2-Can we really know with certainty in advance where we are going when we die?
3-Will we ever hear Jesus say "If I'd known you did that, I wouldn't have let you into heaven"?
4-How do you surrender control of your life to God?
5-Does God need a dwelling place?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who did Jesus say he would make into fishers of men?
Today's answer-Peter and Andrew  Mark 1:17

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY        Acts 21:12-15
12 When we all heard this, we and the people there begged Paul not to go to Jerusalem. 13 But he said, “Why are you crying and making me so sad? I am not only ready to be tied up in Jerusalem, I am ready to die for the Lord Jesus!”
14 We could not persuade him to stay away from Jerusalem. So we stopped begging him and said, “We pray that what the Lord wants will be done.”
15 After this, we got ready and started on our way to Jerusalem.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Father, we place our complete trust in You, for You are a faithful, trustworthy, and loving God. As we feed on Your faithfulness and live by Your righteousness revealed to us through the Scriptures we find ourselves delighting in Your presence. We also delight in You when we sing praises, when we give ourselves in service to others, and most especially when we commune with You in prayer. May the desires of our heart bring delight to Yours as we conform ourselves to Your will and rid ourselves of that which lures us from the safe pasture You have abundantly supplied for those who believe. Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
