Tuesday November 3, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-When we see how much God has forgiven us we understand how much he loves us-
2-Shame is a child of self centeredness-
3-If there is no hell, God could not be just-
4-No one spoke of hell more often or more clearly than Jesus did-
5-Jesus is the only eye witness of hell who has walked on earth-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Resident alien-

I'VE LEARNED-God is just as thorough in his mercy as he is severe in his judgement-

DID YOU KNOW-The most popular sweet pepper is the bell pepper-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-In the new testament, the words "scribes and pharisees" are often used together.  What identifies each group?
2-Who were the "sadducees" and how were they different from other groups?
3-Who were the "Essenes"?
4-How many times was a heavenly voice heard as reported in the gospels?
5-What was Jesus' "transfiguration", and what did he look like?

BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage is from what old testament book-"Behold, I send my messenger before my face, which shall prepare thy way before thee"?
Answer for today     Malachi 3:1

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    LUKE 13:10-13
10 Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day. 11 A woman was there who, for eighteen years, had an evil spirit in her that made her crippled. Her back was always bent; she could not stand up straight. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman, you are free from your sickness.” 13 Jesus put his hands on her, and immediately she was able to stand up straight and began praising God.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, Your commands do not come with a question mark nor are they intended to provoke debate as to whether we think it in our best interest to follow or reject. Your commands are for our good and your provisions are all that we have need of. Just as you supplied the Israelites manna for food, fire by night, and the cloud by day You lead and provide for us through every season of our life, during the plenty and during the barren times. You are enough for all that we have need of, the greatest need of all being met through Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, who died that we might live forever. Thank You! Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
