Wednesday November 4, thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-God does not send people to hell, he simply honors their choice-
2-There are two kinds of people-1. Those who say to God "thy will be done" and 2. Those to whom God says "thy will be done"-
3-You cannot give what you don't have-
4-The secret to loving is receiving.  You give love by first receiving it-
5-Want to learn how to forgive, then consider how you have been forgiven-

STRANGE THOUGHT-same difference-

I'VE LEARNED-God's complete moral perfection is revealed by his hatred of all sin-

DID YOU KNOW-The heat of peppers is rated on the Scoville scale-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-John places Jesus' cleansing the temple at the beginning of his ministry instead of during the last week of his life as done in Luke--why?
2-The first three Gospels state that the last supper was a passover meal.  John makes it seem that it was not.  Why the difference?
3-Why do the four Gospels have differing accounts of the last supper?
4-What was Judas' true motive for betraying Jesus?
5-Why are the gospel's story of what happened to Judas so different from each other?

BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage is from what old testament book-"Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased; I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall show judgment to the gentiles"?
Answer for the day       Isaiah   42:1

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Luke 13:14-17
14 The synagogue leader was angry because Jesus healed on the Sabbath day. He said to the people, “There are six days when one has to work. So come to be healed on one of those days, and not on the Sabbath day.”
15 The Lord answered, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you untie your work animals and lead them to drink water every day—even on the Sabbath day? 16 This woman that I healed, a daughter of Abraham, has been held by Satan for eighteen years. Surely it is not wrong for her to be freed from her sickness on a Sabbath day!” 17 When Jesus said this, all of those who were criticizing him were ashamed, but the entire crowd rejoiced at all the wonderful things Jesus was doing.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we know that Satan is a thief who “comes only to steal and kill and destroy” and millions fall victim to his enticements. Knowing our inclination to sin, help us to honor our bodies in such a way that we don’t purposefully arouse lust in others by our dress or behavior, nor do we feed on lust by gazing upon that which is dishonorable in Your sight. We desire purity and holiness as we daily pursue Your righteousness. Forgive us where we have resented, ignored, or disobeyed Your truths in this area of our lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!
