Saturday August 16, 2008 thought for the day

THE SIGN MUST BE IN THE WRONG PLACE
Here are my thoughts for today-
1-You may forget with whom you laughed but not with whom you wept-
2-It is not how much of your money you are going to give to God but how much of God's money
You are going to keep for yourself-
3-To be content with little is hard but to be content with much is impossible-
4-Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken-
5-It is not happiness that makes you grateful but gratefulness that makes you happy-

Strange thought-yesterday, today was tomorrow, yet tomorrow, today will be yesterday-

I've learned-the trip is often more fun than the destination-

5 things I want to know
1-What was so special about the star that the Magi followed it?
2-How old was Jesus and where did he live when the Magi found him?
3-Why do we put the shepherds and the Magi together at the manger?
4-Of what significance were the gifts of the Magi to Jesus?
5-Why were people in the Bible led of God by dreams but not today?

Scripture for today-Hebrews 12:12-15: "So take a new grip with your tired hands and stand firm on your shaky legs. Mark out a straight path for your feet. Then those who follow you, though they are weak and lame, will not stumble and fall but will become strong. Try to live in peace with everyone, and seek to live a clean and holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. Look after each other so that none of you will miss out on the special favor of God." (NLT)

I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
